Mark your calendar, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 appears to have a release date of 4 Oct 2015 and there is the possibility of it being Windows 10 enabled. This info is via Tom Warren, Verge’s senior editor who is also founder of ‘WinRumors’ adding credibility.
However, Warren doesn’t agree with reports of its design being nearly identical to its predecessor and says “it won’t look exactly the same.” He also makes notes “a bigger display, thinner and lighter” but will still work with previous Surface Pro 3 accessories.
Specifications on the device are also a major upgrade. When asked if someone purchased a Surface Pro 3 now, would they regret it, his sources said they would. The improvements in this upgrade “are not just incremental” apparently, but Warren would not elaborate on that. Though he did indicate that the rumored Intel’s Skylake CPU may be onboard but feels the new USB Type-C a no-show.
There is also a report that Microsoft is to unveil two tablet versions at this October event, one will have a 12-inch display much like the Pro-3 while the other sports 13 to 14 inches.
It’s important to remember that no matter how creditable the rumor you should still take this info with a grain of salt.
