Expectations for a Lumia 1020 successor have been in the rumor mill for over a year and now we have a leak that verifies the successor exists, at least. The leak occurred soon after a report that Microsoft stopped working on a Lumia 1030 code named McLaren which shattered the hopes of Lumia fans.
Leaked images are believed to be the front panel of the Lumia 1030. Obviously not proof, but you can clearly see “Lumia 1030” written and the glass and the source of the image is supposedly a ‘trusted source’. Using image enhancement the Microsoft Logo was noticed in the top left and Verizon logo in the top right.
As far as specifications go nothing is provided, but Microsoft has been hard at work on a 50MP Camera which would be the center-piece of whatever succeeded the 1020. So the mystery of the Lumia 1030 continues with a possible fall release.

The 2015 Mobile World Congress was held in March and many expected to see the 1030 or at least see Microsoft’s camera unveiled, but coverage of the event seems to be spotty for some reason and reporting has come up short. We therefore must assume there was no unveiling at all.
