This is absolutely marvelous. All help for senior citizens to bridge the divide are welcomed, I’m sure. But it will take more than volunteers as there are thousands in need of assistance.
Obviously, the reluctance of media to coverage for this campaign and lack of support, is the result of either believing seniors can gain tech-skills through volunteer services or that somehow the problem will just go away. Neither of these will happen and the number of seniors is growing.
Don’t wait until this becomes a bigger crisis and then try helping. Give this campaign a chance, why not! At least forward this post to a media reporter and tell them how you feel about this issue.
